How do you build a modern website for a sport that is, well, old-school?

In America, things are big. Cars, food, people and yes, even fish. That’s what we’ve learned from an incredible project with Rippin Lips, a U.S.-based fishing tackle manufacturer who specialise in building big tackle for big fish. Catfish, to be exact.

Rippin Lips have quickly cemented themselves as a major player in the multi-million dollar U.S. catfishing industry, and when they needed a new website designed to make their products easy to order on mobile devices, they called us first. Why? Because fishermen have smartphones, too.

Like the rest of the population, people who love to fish love to look for information on their phones. That’s why Rippin Lips knew they needed a modern, responsive website that made it easy for anglers to buy their products from a phone.

The new Rippin Lips website is stocked with social media integration, an easy-to-update newsroom and an elegant eCommerce store that provides analytics, insight and an ultra-friendly user experience. The newsroom gives Rippin Lips the power to promote their own press releases and product announcements; the simplicity of the store speaks for itself.

With Rippin Lips, we were able to make a long-distance cast over the Atlantic and deliver another first-class, Metal Potato-quality project.

The entire website is hosted on Potato Care, our world-class, WordPress hosting and maintenance service with incredibly fast load times that make browsing on mobile intuitive, and nearly instant.

With Metal Potato, you can set aside your fears about collaborating with an overseas web design agency. Their level of communication and response times are like working with someone in the same zip code. Actually, more like right down the hallway.
